There's very little information on Amazon about how these products function. I purchased the "Disco" because I assumed that it would allow you to choose a color (eg. press button, get green, press button, get red, etc). As it turns out, there are only two modes. One of them is a flashing red and the other is a steady color fading/cycling. So if you really wanted a light that was a solid red or a solid white, this "disco" won't do it. You'll have to buy the standard single-color versions for that.

Received two of these units and they both turned themselves off after one cycle of the lights. The fix that worked for me on both units was. 1. Pry off top surface 2. Remove batteries being careful to remember which surface of the battery was up 3. Leave batteries out of unit for one minute 4. Replace batteries, but reverse the position (put the previously top battery on the bottom) 5. Make sure you press down for at least 30 sec. to activate the unit
Should work fine after that

I got these lights to clip on the collars of my two black dogs. When out walking at night, they are nearly invisible.
Pros: They lights are easy to turn on and EXTREMELY bright. They also glow from both sides of the disc, so it doesn't matter if the light gets turned around on the collar. It makes dog walking and playing at night and in the early morning much easier.
Cons: They eat batteries. I find myself changing them every 2-4 weeks, and that's using them 2 hours a day. And the mechanism is a touch delicate, so it's easy to throw out of sync when you change the batteries. Fortunately, they're also easy to bend back into sync.
Even with the battery munching, these lights are far superior to other dog collar lights I've tried, and if you don't mind stocking up on 2016 hearing aid batteries, you'll be pleased.
