Only the tip is sharpened, not the rest of the blade so i guess they would be good for beginners who are afraid of cutting themselves. On one of the knives, the nylon wrapping came undone. Doesn't affect flight or performance, just a little dissapointing. Cord Wrapped Handle, Set of 3, w/Sheath these are really good for what they cost. the wrapping on the handle will come off pretty quickly so i would suggest just taking it off when you get them. i dont have any training in using throwing knives but theyre perfect as far as throwing them at logs and whatnot when your bored, just be careful of the rebounds.
